meet WILLOW

Welcome to another doggy profile, where we shine the spotlight on the wonderful dogs (and their humans!) who make Rags & Bert’s such a special place. 

This month, we’re delighted to introduce Willow, a beautiful Collie/Cocker Spaniel rescue who has stolen many hearts with her gentle nature and loving personality. At 8.5 years old, Willow is described by her family in three simple words: clever, cuddly, and loving.

Daycare Experience

Willow’s family chose Rags & Bert’s daycare when they were new to dog ownership, and they immediately felt reassured by the knowledge and guidance provided. The convenient location was an added bonus, but it was the sense of care that stood out most.

Drop-off and pick-up are always a joyful affair, with Willow arriving full of anticipation:

“Willow is always howling with excitement to get there. She can’t wait to get in! She is always greeted with her name and with enthusiasm.”

Over time, daycare has also played an important role in Willow’s confidence. Initially cautious around new staff and visitors, she now greets new faces with ease:

“It is very reassuring to know that the staff know and understand Willow very well indeed. This is good for her well-being and for ours, as owners.”

Hotel Experience

For overnight stays, Willow treats the Rags & Bert’s Dog Hotel as a true home-from-home. Familiar staff, familiar routines, and a safe environment mean she settles in straight away:

“Rags is her second home – she doesn’t look back on arrival!”

Though she plays less as she’s matured, Willow still enjoys time with her closest canine companions, along with a favourite pastime of sunbathing in a warm spot. Her family also treasure the personalised postcards they receive when Willow boards, describing them as a thoughtful and much‑appreciated touch.

Why Willow Loves Rags & Bert’s

Willow’s family highlighted what they value most:

“We love how well the staff know and understand Willow. We love how Willow can’t wait to get in there. Each member of the team is warm, welcoming and helpful. In addition, although not on site, Sarah in the office must also be mentioned to reflect our appreciation of her helpfulness and efficiency.”

On more than one occasion, Willow has made her feelings perfectly clear about how much she enjoys her time at Rags & Bert’s:

“At pick up Willow has been known to walk back into Rags! What a pickle!”

Once she warms up to you, she quickly becomes your best friend and there is nothing better than Willow's greetings in the morning (a howl or two).”
