Exciting News from the Grooming Pod
We’ve got some exciting changes happening at Rags & Bert’s, and we’re thrilled to share them with you!
First, we say a fond farewell to our groomer Sophie, who is off to new adventures. Sophie has been a valued part of our team, and we wish her all the best in her next chapter. Thank you, Sophie, for your care, skill, and the many wagging tails you’ve helped along the way!
We are delighted to give a warm welcome to Grace Avery, our new groomer, and someone many of you may already know from Gracious Grooms!
Meet Grace
Grace’s grooming journey began in 2019, during her travels in Australia, where she discovered her love for working with dogs. That passion quickly turned into a career when she joined Pets at Home, starting from the ground up and working her way to stylist level over two years. She was grooming eight or nine dogs a day in a fast-paced environment, gaining hands-on experience and building her skills.
After that, Grace spent two years in mobile grooming, which she absolutely loved – getting to know dogs in their own spaces and building strong bonds with both pets and owners. Although she was sad to leave when she moved areas, her next step was managing a small salon team of three, where she continued to grow as a leader and stylist.
Now, Grace is bringing her experience, warmth, and calm energy to The Grooming Pod.
Grace’s Grooming Philosophy
Grace believes in taking time with each dog, especially those who may be nervous or stressed. She’s happy to split appointments if needed and always works to create a calm and caring environment — complete with treats, toys, and plenty of patience.
Whether your dog is a regular or a first-time visitor, Grace is here to make their grooming experience as gentle and enjoyable as possible.
We’re very excited to have Grace on board and can’t wait for you and your pups to meet her. Feel free to pop in and say hello. She’s looking forward to getting to know you all!
