Spring Carrot & Peanut Butter Dog Treats

Because your dog deserves a treat too!

Ingredients: 

  • 120g plain flour (or oat flour)
  • 50g grated carrot
  • 60g natural peanut butter (xylitol-free only)
  • 1 medium egg
  • 2–4 tbsp water (as needed)

Instructions: 

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (160°C fan). 
  2. In a bowl, mix the flour, grated carrot, peanut butter, and egg. 
  3. Gradually add water until the mixture forms a dough. 
  4. Roll out the dough and cut into small shapes (bone, paw, or spring shapes!). 
  5. Place on a lined baking tray. 
  6. Bake for 15–20 minutes, until golden and firm. 
  7. Allow to cool completely before serving.  

Why it's perfect for spring:

  • Light, fresh ingredients with a hint of sweetness from carrot   
  • Great for training treats or rewarding good behaviour 
  • Fun to make as a seasonal activity at home  

Important tips: 

  • Always use peanut butter that does not contain xylitol (toxic to dogs)  
  • Store treats in an airtight container for up to 5–7 days, or freeze for longer storage 
  • Feed in moderation as part of a balanced diet
