Meet our Team Leader Dave
introducing Dave
Dave has been an integral part of the Rags & Bert’s team for a year and a half, working as a dedicated Team Leader. With a diploma in dog behavior (achieved with distinction!), Dave brings both knowledge and passion to his role. His day-to-day role focuses on making sure the staff are fully engaged and clear on their responsibilities, all while ensuring the dogs receive the highest level of attention, care, and enrichment.
For Dave, the best part of the job is without question the joyful greetings he gets from the dogs each day. Yet he admits the hardest part is saying goodbye to the dogs who’ve been boarding with them for a while. His love for dogs shines through in everything he does, from working with so many different breeds to developing his skills as a behaviorist trainer.
Away from work, Dave stays busy supporting his son in athletics, preparing his own dogs for shows and countryside races across Britain, and continuing to train the dogs of friends and family. A lover of Greyhounds and Lurchers, Dave has even been awarded a trophy at Wembley Stadium by Princess Diana for his dog, No Respect — an achievement he holds dear alongside his family. When he’s not immersed in the dog world, you’ll find Dave enjoying the simple things: ham, egg, and chips, relaxing holidays in Sussex or Kent, and listening to ’80s music with his wife and loyal dogs by his side.
