Meet Burt: A Much-Loved Member of the Rags & Bert’s Family
Burt is a gorgeous black Labrador who recently turned nine — and he’s been part of the Rags & Bert’s community since the very beginning. His owner brought him home at just eight weeks old, and over the years, Burt has become a familiar face at our daycare, hotel, and grooming pod. Described as determined, nervous, and ball-loving, Burt’s personality shines through in everything he does!

When it came to finding the right care for Burt, his owner wanted a place with excellent play facilities, professional staff, and a well-organised setup. Rags & Bert’s ticked all the boxes — and Burt has been enjoying his time here ever since our doors first opened.
Daycare That Builds Confidence and Friendships
Burt’s love for daycare is clear the moment he arrives; he can’t get out of the car fast enough to join his friends! Our team always welcomes him by name, takes time to share updates at pick-up, and ensures he feels comfortable — especially important as Burt can sometimes be a little nervous.
Over time, daycare has really helped Burt gain confidence and improve his social skills. He’s formed lovely friendships, and his owner has noticed how much he enjoys the fun, safe environment we provide.
An interesting fact from Daycare: Burt holds the record for carrying five tennis balls at once during his time with us!
Grooming That Leaves Him Looking and Smelling His Best
Burt has also visited our Grooming Pod for grooming and tooth cleaning. While grooming isn’t his favourite activity, he always leaves with a soft coat and a lovely fragrance. Our groomers understand his sensitivities and make sure he’s well looked after during his treatments.
A Safe and Happy Stay at Our Dog Hotel
When it was time for Burt to try our Dog Hotel, the transition felt natural thanks to his positive daycare experiences. A pre-visit reassured his owner that Burt would be safe and well cared for. Familiar faces and surroundings meant Burt settled in easily, enjoying every day with his canine pals — especially the bubbles and pools, as Burt is a big fan of water!
His owner appreciated the thoughtful updates and photos during his stay, helping to ease any worries and offering a glimpse of Burt having fun.
